Summary
An altercation with the Spot's wormhole-like powers throw Peter Parker into a different universe- one where he doesn't exist. Gotham city is dark and unforgiving, but Peter quickly gets back on his feet by monopolizing the untapped market of superhero photography, while also building his vigilante alter-ego back up from the ground.
Yet another Peter Parker in Gotham fic, because its fun. Also, I adore reading about Peter accidentally scaring people by being spider-y, and giving the Batfam a bit of their own medicine in that department sounds like fun.
This is my first fic, and I have consumed very little canon DC stuff- please forgive my shoddy character work, blatant abuse of grammar concepts, and inconsistent capitalization. There will be NO explicit content in this fic, bc it makes me supremely uncomfortable, and swearing will be kept to a minimum. Violence will also likely be low bc I'm not good at writing it.

Thinking none of it, he comes back to Berk by sundown, and it’s that day that he realizes that he can no longer stay; On every night of a full moon, he transforms into a dragon and, stuck in a dragon killing tribe where everything is ruled by the “kill or be killed”, this piles up onto the reasons why he would never fit in.
So he runs away with Toothless.
But, as it turns out, he’s not the only person without a home. Eventually, Heather and Eret tag along.

He thrashed, eyes flying open against the gritty burn, arms and legs flailing against the viscous green goo he was suspended in. Green green green. Everything was green, it seeped into his pores, tainting his skin. He tried to claw himself upwards but he didn't know which way was up. Nausea flooded his stomach, bile building in his mouth and mixing with the green. He retched into the water, sucking in more green with each gag. He arched, legs kicking out against nothing as he clawed at his throat. Darkness crept into the corners of his eyes, creeping closer and closer and Peter heaved and gasped into the green.
Everything went dark.
“No, c’mon Spider-Man, that way is up.”

Peter Parker dies on Titan, staring up at a yellow sky that he wished was blue, and then he was choking back to life in a pool of green. He doesn’t know what’s happening, but his healing factor is being weird and he doesn’t look like he did before.
The man in the Red Hood says he can help, and maybe, just maybe, Peter will let him.

Summary
Gotham is no rookie to the unknown and strange, for decades the city has housed colorful vigilantes with attitude problems; alongside attention seeking and mayhem loving rouges with varying dedications to puzzles, poisoned laughter, plants, and induced fear. So, when a new player in Gotham begins stringing criminals by their feet in webs, the citizens hold their breath and wait for their Birds and Bats to handle it.
Only, weeks pass, and there's no sign of the unknown's capture, nor does the new player cleanly fit the description of any rouge or vigilante the city has seen. They do not boast about their kills, they do not target the innocent, what few movements they make, seem impulsive rather than planned. Gotham and its Knights go anxious without their answers, GCPD is desperately trying to hide the most they can to delay panic, while prepping for Halloween and the inevitable rouge apocalypse that'll occur.
Most of all? Tim wants to bitch-slap whatever god thought it would be funny to drop a new rouge in his city on his 21st birthday, of all days.
(Or: This is my take on peter in Gotham, attempting to use as little common tropes as possible.)

----Desmond just watched at first.
It had taken days to realise where he was, or rather, when he was. Desmond was half convinced he was in a coma or a long-lasting Bleeding episode at first. But it was not the Bleeding Effect, nor did Desmond seem to be in another coma.
He was not in the Animus, but in real world Renaissance Florence.
By the time Desmond finally seemed to snap out of his daze, he stumbled upon the Piazza della Signoria where a large crowd was gathered.
He recognised this scene, though the last time he saw it, he had arrived on the opposite side of the piazza. The last time he had been watching through the eyes of Ezio.
Watching the crowd move, Desmond found himself stopping a nearby woman, “Scusi, signora, but would you happen to know today's date?”
“December 29th.”
Desmond’s eyes were wide in disbelief. “And the year?”
“1476.”
December 29th, 1476.
The day the Auditore family was executed.

So Fate decides to take them to where they would be treated like the gifts they are.
When nine demigods wake up in a land they don’t recognize, a land that feels wrong, they do what any normal person would do. Panic. Then they get their shit together and try to figure out how to get home.
The Olympians have mourned enough. Now they have nine new reasons to celebrate instead. And they will not let these gifts go so easily.

After that, he spent months running around the galaxy, sometimes with Qui-Gon, sometimes with others, sometimes alone. Melida/Daan. Mandalore. Phindar. A dozen other planets or more.
And then Naboo, where it all went wrong.

John-117 spent four years fighting insurrectionists across UNSC controlled space, only to be bundled into cryo and told he has a new objective; guard a UNSC camp on an alien planet, under the watchful gaze of the Vadam people, and the higher ups who are already furious with him for failing his last mission. (A mission that cost John-117 more than his rank).
Somehow, somewhere along the line, John-117 stops being John-117; stops becoming ‘the human’, and just becomes ‘John.’ He moves into the local town without meaning too and, somehow, becomes the local babysitter.
It’s only when Thel ‘Vadam, Kaidon of the Vadam region, returns from meetings at the capital that John realises how deep he is in this new life. It’s suddenly made worse by the fact that this Thel is somehow head over heels in love with him.
”Honestly,” Kelly tells him, “Only you, John.”
OR, An exploration of worldbuilding for Sangheili culture, a ‘what if the war never happened/happened very differently’ AU, and what if John-117 is somehow great with children.

Summary
The Arbiter's initial studies of human culture didn't happen after the Great Schism; he's figured out things about their species through long observation and plenty of patience. He'll acknowledge their new alliance gives him plenty of resources to fall back on when he doesn't understand something. Frankly, he doesn't get a LOT of the customs these people have.
But it's good to increase his knowledge: as a curious Sangheili, he has many burning questions, ones he's harbored for years that ought to be answered at long last. There's only one problem he's got no hope of fixing.
See, he REALLY wishes he could figure out if this 'bond' with his enemy-turned-ally is purely platonic, or he's instigated a serious courtship between them. Chief is being rude in not clearing up the matter but then again, the Arbiter is kind of shitty at clarifying what his questions are.
Misunderstanding is in plenty but were it so easy to understand one another's intentions, then they'd never learn how to become each other's equal.
