Summary
All is peaceful on the Zhuming ship of the Xianzhou fleet. That is until a scream tears through the night. It’s a horrible, horrible sound, more beast than man. Then, a hammer’s strike reverberates again deep beneath the living quarters of the Zhuming’s General Arbiter’s residence.
No matter the wolf's howls, the horror within his body must be sealed.

Summary
When a string of disappearances all a bit too close to Pearl catches Ashveil’s eye, he breaks a long-running tradition between them. He reaches out first, offering to act as a bodyguard until the danger has passed.
Together, they need to find and stop the perpetrator before Pearl herself is among the missing. Forced in closer proximity now than ever before, their own relationship begins to change. The question is whether they will let this change happen or if their own misgivings will stop it before it can actualize.
“Fine, I will grant you the access of a personal security contractor for the IPC and allow you to accompany me until you feel the danger has passed.”
“Much appreciated.”
“You can return to pack your things and I will call us a private cab back to my apartment.”
“Huh?”
Her head tilted, a smile playing across her lips, “Mr. Ashveil, didn’t you promise to keep me safe? Do you truly imagine that duty ends after I’m done with my work day?”
