The being continued, “You have no idea whom you have summoned, do you not?”
Sonic would have felt annoyed over the constant smugness coming from the being, If the words had not reached his mind fast enough to catch the being’s meaning.
The ritual he had chosen had not been specific in whom he summoned. The only note that had been left behind had told him that whoever was coming, would grant him his desire. Sonic had asked nothing more, had not needed to know more.
“You’re a demon!” Sonic insisted.
The being shook their head like they were pitying him. “I am no mere creature of the night.” The room seemed to get even colder and the candles’ light flickered. “I am the Night.”
OR: Sonic wants to bring Tails back from the dead and accidentally summons the God of Darkness in the process. What's left to do but to make a deal with the Devil?

Rouge grabbed the fox by the arm, already dragging him towards the door as she called out to them, “Have fun, boys!”
Shadow watched the two of them leave, already internally saying goodbye to the calm uneventful evening he had planned with himself before turning to the echidna.
Due to circumstances (that are entirely out of their control) Shadow and Knuckles have a conversation about their similar experiences with Eggman.

Summary
Sonic surprised them both by throwing his head back and downing his drink in one go. He groaned, his Adam’s apple bobbing with every gulp. A single drop slipped past Sonic’s lips and slid down the corner of his mouth before continuing further down his neck, vanishing under the other’s hoodie.
Shadow watched in a trance, finding it difficult to rip his gaze away from this scene in front of him, and honestly he did not even want to try. He wanted to find out where that drop had gone, only to lick it away and replace it with his own spit, until Sonic was covered in Shadow’s smell.
The glass clanked loudly when Sonic placed it back onto the counter. His stare piercing as he fixed him, his lips slowly curled into a cocky smile, not unlike those Shadow already knew of Sonic.
“Let’s pretend we like each other. Just for tonight.”
Two rivals find each other in a club. They both get more than they bargained for.

2: A Second Movie? Seriously? - Sonic and friends are still stuck in the void but this time they're watching Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
3: The Third Time's The Charm - Sonic and friends suffer through the third Sonic the Hedgehog Movie to finally escape the void.

It's not like they'll all assume Leon is married to Claire or anything, just because his file says 'Redfield.' Surely no one will make a crack about the bloodline. Right?
