Phil stays quiet, his lips pressed together, until they’re all sat in their living room, Dan next to Phil on the sofa with far more space between them than they usually have, looking around helplessly.
“Just what exactly do you remember?” he asks Dan.
“Uh,” makes Dan. “I know my name is Dan. They told me.”
Dan has a ski accident and loses his memory. Phil can't do anything but offer him a home - Dan finds that said home is quite obscure.

“Colonel Mustang, sir,” an unfamiliar male voice trickled through the speaker, and Roy stifled a yawn, running a hand through his mussed hair. “I apologise for disturbing you at such a late hour. I’m Officer Müller, Military Police at West Station-” He perked up, frowning off into the dimly lit street beyond his living room window. “-I’m calling because at 02:00 hours, my colleagues took a young boy into custody who claims to be the Fullmetal Alchemist.”
Ah.
Roy closed his eyes and raised a hand to rub at the increasingly tender spot between his brows, where a headache was manifesting at alarming speeds.
Of course. Of course.
“What’d he do?” he asked, his usual cool and collected tone crumbling under sudden exhaustion.
There was a brief pause on the other end of the line, before the man spoke up again. “He was arrested for public intoxication and disturbance of peace, sir.”
He blinked, feeling like he’d taken a blow to the nose.
“He what?” Roy hissed out between his teeth, his grip on the receiver tightening until the wood creaked in complaint.

Jon speaks again. "Is there anything I can do?"
Two-plus decades of self-abnegation bubble up in Martin's throat, threatening to spill over, to reassure Jon that everything's okay, not to worry, Martin's just fine. But the words die on his tongue. Maybe there was a thread of compulsion in Jon's question. Maybe it's the after-effects of that glorious, already-fading moment of SIGHT, when all the fog had gone out of Martin's head for the first time in months and Jon had stood before him, real and true and unafraid. Or maybe it's nothing supernatural at all. Maybe it's just ordinary human trust.

"You," he whispers, pressing another kiss to his shoulder. "This." He tilts his face to Jon's neck, tonguing at his skin. "Always this."

An Eridian mining crew find a human welded into a stranded ship on the surface of a moon. They bring him back to Erid, to the only other human they know.
Something in Grace's chest flickered into life. He had buried it so long ago that he hardly knew what it was anymore, and so he took off his glasses and cleaned them on the edge of his cardigan, as if Rocky's words were a smudge he could clear away before finding the will to hope.
“Ah…” his words failed halfway out of his mouth. Rocky chittered at him, a little sound of encouragement. “There’s another human? Here. And… alive?”
