Summary
The story of the Lands of the Old Faith has been told before. In most versions of the tale, it was led by a Lamb. In others, a Goat. But in one particular tale, the predatory nature of Death is much more overt. A scared woman, torn from her home and thrown into a world she had only heard of in old bedtime stories and warnings given by her father. Forced to take on the visage of a hunter, she learns quickly that her entire family was just as feared by the gods as the gods themselves.
A Hound of Hell makes for a rather suitable Shepherd in a place full of hellish nightmares. And this Hound is beyond ready to make heads roll for what they'd done to her.

V was no stranger to touch.
She was used to it- familiar with the way metal bodies squeezed tight against each other, limbs entangled and condensation sticking to her visor.
Familiar with the feeling of J’s clawed digits pushing harder and harder into her chassis- leaving dents in the soft metal. She could all but feel the cold fangs of her leader digging into her shoulder, pressing down until oil burst out of her, staining the snow black.
Suffice to say, V knew what drone on drone contact felt like.
And yet, with Uzi in her lap, she shook like the leaves in autumn had back on earth.—-
V, due to past experiences, struggles to be vulnerable with Uzi. And also sorts out her rather mixed feelings on the color purple.
