Summary
Wren is a pilot of the stolen mech Myrgos, and is part of a rebel enclave fighting against the doings of the Empire. On a backwater planet, preparing to destroy a crucial fuel depot, their hideout is destroyed in a brutal, no-survivors-type-attack. When a basic human instinct leads Wren to save the life of an Imperial scout in the wrong place at the wrong time, she finds herself struggling to hate the woman on the other side. The self she created for herself as a survival mechanism begins to falter.
