Summary
In early 1943 even the Herriots have moved out of Skeldale, leaving only Siegfried to not just steer the ship, but also to try to keep the wind in the sails, and to swab the deck, and to man the pumps. It's fair to say that that's a bit much for just one man, no matter how robust his constitution. And, if he's being honest with himself, that one might always been a bit of an exaggeration. But at least a very old friend chooses this time to show up.
Or: We know that Siegfried changed during the time skip. However, we don't know exactly when or why these changes occurred, nor what he used to cope. These are some snippets from that time.
No spoilers for S7

Von Karma tries to traumatize Miles by virtue of German children's TV. It backfires.
(this won't make any sense if you don't know who "Bernd das Brot" is. This story was written very shortly after an episode about him on Last Week Tonight)

Summary
It starts, as most things in his life do, as an accident. He's fifteen, and just finally hit his growth-spurt and that must mean that he's almost a real grown-up man now, right? And real grown-up men need to shave. Well, if he's honest with himself, he doesn't need to shave, not yet, not really. But there are a few hairs growing on his chin, there are, you just have to look veeeery closely. And so he decides to nick one of his mom's single-use razors (the electric one of his father scares him a little bit) and shaves himself.
Or: Gumshoe tries to shave for the first time. He looses a few hairs and a bit of blood, but he gains something much more meaningful
Or or: The origin story of that band-aid.

Summary
Mrs. Hall is cross with him. She wasn’t being unkind to him, as such. Bless her heart, he didn’t think she’d have it in her to be unkind to anyone. Any person who could muster this level of patience and empathy for a man the likes of Bosworth deserved sainthood in his eyes. She wouldn’t even allow herself to hate her ex-husband, and God knows she’d be justified to do so.
So between a nuisance and a drunkard, how on earth had he managed to offend her worse than both?OR Audrey Hall set up her employer with her friend and feels some type of way about it

Summary
Jason Todd was kidnapped at nine-years-old and given two options. Work for his keep, or be forced to to work for his keep.
His life was not pleasant, but Jason was nothing if not a fighter, and dammit if was he going to let the hell around him kill who he was as a person. Or his dreams of growing up and going to college.
Those dreams suddenly came a little more into focus, when his idiot of a pimp accidentally tried to rent him to Bruce Wayne. Poor bastard could have never guessed he was the Batman himself. Heck, not even Jason figured that out, at first. And Batman had practically adopted him.
