“A knife.” Bruce eyed the blade warily.
“It’s celestial bronze. A bizodekibe wouldn’t be able to identify it.” The twelve-year-old eyed Bruce with a wariness that young eyes should never have. “So do you have dekibe? Or are you not human?”
“I have no idea wha—did you just try to stab me?” his voice went uncharacteristically shrill in surprise that the knife a child tried to stab him with went right through him.
“Huh,” Dick concluded his experiment. “You're human. Cool.”
The car arrived at the ice cream store. “We will talk about this later.”

His eyes glinted at the mention of the phenomenon, but otherwise, no reaction occurred outwardly. "Or maybe your soul isn't the problem. It seems like you've taken it as a foregone conclusion that you can't control your ability. Such a defeatist attitude couldn't help either."

Summary
This is a AU where the characters of the DreamSMP are superheroes and supervillains that have powers from various mythological figures. The AU spans from BT era all the way to the latest streams. It's going to take inspiration from the main SMP, Greek mythology, Marvel and DC comics, as well as a bit of the OriginsSMP and such.

Nie Huaisang gave a heavy sigh. None of it excused the things Jin Guangyao had done. None of it would make him forgive his brother’s death.

“It’s not that I disagree with your approach, of course,” Lan Xichen remarked to Jin Guangyao on one of their night-hunts together, as much an excuse to get Jin Guangyao away from the uncomfortable atmosphere of Jinlin Tower and Lanling more generally as anything else. “It’s only a stylistic difference, really; your way is as good as mine. But I really feel I have to say something, since I don’t think your way has been working all that well, under the current circumstances.”
“I…I’m not sure what you mean, er-ge,” Jin Guangyao said, after a brief pause. Normally he had a very good understanding of Lan Xichen, or so he thought, but at the moment he was utterly clueless.
“I’m referring to the way you act pitiful and virtuous in order to get what you want,” Lan Xichen said, and something in Jin Guangyao’s brain came to a very sudden halt.

"Crap!" the food truck worker shrieks in alarm. "Don't hurt him, Superman, he's just a kid!"
Clark . . . pauses, then looks up from the kid that he is currently pinning into the street as said kid struggles underneath him.
"'Hurt him'?" he asks in reflexive confusion, and then realizes how batting a teenager around like a person-shaped cat toy and pinning him to the street hard enough to crack it probably actually looks to an outside observer.
. . . um.
Whoops.
"Um," he starts awkwardly, and then the kid slips his pin while he's distracted and throws his arms around his neck with a gleeful laugh and a bright grin.
"Dad!" he crows triumphantly, and hugs Clark harder than literally anyone has ever hugged him before.
