Euphemia and Fleamont Potter (Effie and Monty to those who knew and loved them) had always wanted a lot of kids. They both came from large families, and they grew up with houses full of laughter and noise. They had agreed early in their courtship that they both wanted that. It was their dream. However, after their marriage, they struggled to conceive. Five years later, they got blessed with their son, James Fleamont Potter. They tried again to give James siblings, but they were unsuccessful.
Never the type to be discouraged, Effie and Fleamont signed up to be foster parents.
