“People are losing faith in you, Zelda. Even your own knight has requested a reappointment…” Rhoam grumbled.
This made Zelda’s head snap up. Any despair she felt before amplified and accompanied with anger and shock. Link? Link had requested not to be her knight anymore? Tears welled up in her eyes but she forced them not to fall. They’d made so much progress, grown so close. She really thought they were becoming friends-- the time she thought he despised her was behind them. Or so she thought. But she’d been right all along, Link had gone behind her back and asked her father to separate them.
OR
Link navigates new feelings he's not entirely sure he should have, and ends up (almost) fucking it all up.

Summary
Princess Zelda lives her life the best she can: she audits her closest friend's ancient engineering class, she practices building tech in the lab, and she even finds time to develop a friendship with the court poet. But when her father shuts everything down for her safety and enlists the one person in all of Hyrule that Zelda has been refusing to acknowledge even exists, Zelda starts to feel the weight she’d been carrying on her shoulders all these years threaten to crush her. Which is perfect. Because the Calamity is coming. And on top of it all, she needs to find a way to work with the world’s favorite icon, the Hero of Hyrule, as her new bodyguard. All while she tries to unlock her elusive Goddess-given powers and stay alive.

Summary
Zelda was independent. She didn't need an escort, certainly not around the castle.
But her father disagreed, and now she was stuck with that infuriating blond boy following her around. He didn't even speak. It was like he was taunting her.But perhaps a quiet presence would be precisely what she needed, when her father demanded that she visit yet another sacred place to try to connect with her inner power.

Summary
Princess Zelda sacrificed everything 100 years ago so her people could live. Now that Ganon is defeated, Zelda faces more challenges than she had in the past: her return has thrown the kingdom's politics into question, her sealing powers are out of control, and Link- her appointed knight and the Hero of Hyrule- barely remembers her or the feelings they shared 100 years prior.
This is technically a sequel, BUT you don't need to read the previous one to follow this fic!

Summary
After defeating Calamity Ganon, Link has Zelda back in his arms. The little house in Hateno, which he bought intending to bring her home, is finally fulfilling its purpose. So why is he now more afraid than ever?
Link bows his head and takes Zelda’s hand, assuming a position of devotion with which he aims to convey that he remembers her now and loved her even before. She, in response, lifts his chin and looks him straight in the eyes, her gaze so solid and certain that it shatters him to pieces. Grasping her hand like a lifeline, Link cannot hold back his shaking, dry sobs as he presses her hand to his forehead, feeling the firm reality of her presence and gasping in the oxygen that would leave his lungs without her.
“Oh, Link,” Zelda says, bending down and wrapping her arms around him. “It’s over. We can go home.”
