Right. Mirabelle will stay here, or maybe go off on a pilgrimage all on her own. Isabeau will go back to Jouvente to pursue his dream. Bonnie back to their sister. And Odile to Ka Bue.
And you…well, you’ll return to traveling, of course. Just like before. That’s fine. It’s what you’ve always done. It won’t be any different than it was before.You’re just glad that this story had a happy ending.
A moment of hesitation and a faint memory leads Siffrin to make a different wish at the Favor Tree. The party of saviors find their final quest goes much more smoothly than they might have anticipated.
This is not a good thing.

He looks so small, Mirabelle thinks, lying there. Eye closed, hands over his chest like he’s in a casket. Their expression is almost calm. There’s no fear on their face, no hurt, no sorrow. Just quiet acceptance. She hates that look. It’s worse, she decides. Worse than if they looked pained.
“Why?” Mirabelle whispers. She isn’t sure who she’s asking. Siffrin? Herself? A God who won't answer? "Why did you do this? Why now, why like this? Why didn’t I notice?"
Siffrin dies. The loop does not end.

"Siffrin." Odile tilted her head in that way she does when she's amused with something you've done. No. Not again. "Most people would call that cuteness aggression."
… Wait, what?
"… What's that?" You ask dumbly.
"It's like when you see a little puppy and you just wanna shake its little face around!" Mirabelle smiles.
"Or make silly noises and shake your friend back and forth when they do something funny!" Isabeau adds.
"More specifically," Odile spoke. "It's a sense of wanting to act violently towards something you find … cute, and it is completely normal."
