Summary
Eddie was awake. He was pretty sure that was a mistake. Blinding light greets him as soon as he forces his eyes open. Too bright. Too soon. He swallowed a groan as the room slowly came into focus. Sterilized walls, clean white sheets, machines beeping rhythmically, tubes entering his arm in various locations. A hospital. He is very aware of three things. One, he is alone. Two, he had no idea how he had gotten here, and three, the sinking feeling that something was very wrong tugs at his thoughts.
