''It's not like I wanted to!'' Jason snaps. ''Okay? You think that I wanted to go hungry? Because if you think that then you're wrong. I didn't. It's just that not all of us can be the golden boy Dick. Unlike you, I don't have Bruce to fall back on when times get tough. I couldn't afford it.''
A heavy silence reigns once more. And for a moment Jason relaxes not expecting a reply to even signal his statement. Until Dick groans exaggeratedly. Forehead colliding with tightly clasped hands.
''Fuck,'' Dick curses. Seeming utterly and truly stressed. ''God damn you, Jason. I can't believe you.''
___Or in other words, Jason can't afford the amount of food he needs anymore. And an overprotective big brother ensues

“I’m not ordering Hawaiian,” Jason said immediately as he pulled up the menu for the local pizza place. He stayed pressed to Dick’s side, revelling in the physical pressure provided by human contact, and he was pretty sure Dick was also leaning back into him as well.
“Not even if I say please?” Dick asked sweetly.
“Fuck that.” Jason ordered a Hawaiian anyway.

“I could have taken care of them alone,” says the guy he just saved, finally coming out in the light to watch the last of the gang scramble away as fast as he could. “But thanks.”
Jason turns, a quip ready on his lips, but his breath gets taken away by the unexpected sigh.
Because, right here in front of him and none the wiser, is Dick Grayson himself — Nightwing, leader of the Titans, former Robin, favored son of Batman.
His big brother.

Summary
Losing Damian not only hurt beyond measure but also made Dick the last Bat standing. He had nothing keeping him in a broken world so goes back in time with only one ally (Damian begs to differ) and no plan except to protect everyone he can, at any cost.
Dick starts with making sure Jason never dies at the hands of the Joker and proceeds to track down and love his siblings (while maybe also plotting the destruction of the League of Assassins). He just doesn't realize that a clan of highly trained vigilantes are more than capable of realizing that Dick is not okay, and of returning his devotion with their own.
