Summary
When Damian tried for the first time, he went too far and saw Gotham as the new hell on earth.
When he tried for a second time, he went too early and saw everybody fighting for a cowl.
That, at least, he could work with.
Alternatively: Instead of entering the Lazarus Tournament, Damian tries to bring back Alfred with time travel... it backfires of course, so now he has to relive his past as Dick's Robin. All things considered, it could've been so much worse.

Summary
It started with a cursed extra X gene.
Damian had a destiny, and that was not becoming Robin nor the head of the Demon... Well at least not for know to one of these options.
The young woman first had to learn to live with a curse that all people carrying two X genes inhered from her grandmother Martha's side of the family.
If she was honest, maybe this curse was more like a blessing because it took her away from the pauper family that the Wayne's were and the incompetent institution that the League was.
Damian could be an adult and a kid if she wanted. She did not need any of them. A life was waiting for her Jump City with a career and allies.
But, dear, destiny had other plans for her.
