Summary
Being a being of such power and omniscience, yet also so playful and mischievous, it came as no surprise to many that the Almighty loved to play with his little creations, especially when they were so entertaining to watch, with their extreme reactions.
After the non-Armageddon, Crowley and Aziraphale were finally able to step away from their respective domains and enjoy the beauty of retirement. They spent some time in Tadfield, growing closer to the children who had prevented the apocalypse, as well as Agnes Nutter’s granddaughter and her boyfriend, not to mention Madame Tracy, with whom Aziraphale became very close. Everyone was leading a life that was more than peaceful, and in the Creator’s eyes, this was, to say the least…tedious.
So She devised a solution to provide entertainment. One that didn’t involve any of Her creations getting physically hurt. She would take them to a space, where they would need do nothing but watch videos about themselves, uncovering the secrets and mysteries they held within, particularly the two millennial beings present there. What else could this lead to other than a drama that would be absolutely fascinating to watch? There was nothing they could possibly complain about!

Summary

1941, London, take 3
“Crowley,” Aziraphale asks, a little woozy himself, pleasantly inebriated from wine-laced, ebbing adrenaline and the demon’s crackling fire presence. “Are you quite alright, my dear?”
His tongue is thick in his mouth, heavy, and clumsy, and aching for some reason, too. It’s odd, and perhaps a tad disconcerting.
“‘M fine,” Crowley’s lightning quick reply is a mumbled, obvious lie he’s unable to twist into something convincing despite his efforts to do otherwise. “Don’t worry ‘bout me, angel.”
I do little else, Aziraphale nearly admits out loud, absurd you could even think otherwise, despite our differences, despite our pasts, despite our… everything.
