Summary
In the beginning of the new era, there is truly nothing special about the simple stockpile quirk. It does what it's supposed to do and gathers, and gathers and gathers from the world and its holder, and when necessary, it gives back.
Only, that it doesn't only gather strength, or energy, but also experience, knowledge, personality. When it is taken from its holder, Izuku finds himself aware, finds himself with an existence and with sentience.
So when does a Quirk stop being a thing, and start being somebody?
