“You know what?” Kal said, mischief gleaming far too brightly in his eyes. “How about this? I dare you guys to go camping my way. No air mattresses. No pre-made meals. No Wi-Fi. None of the million-dollar equipment in front of me.”
Bruce watched every single one of his kids perk up with interest.
‘Shit.’
Not one of them would ever back down from a dare.
His jaw clenched. “Kal-El,” He said again, sharper this time.
Before he could step in and shut it down, Kal opened his mouth and sealed their fate.
“I bet you can’t do it.”
Anger surged through Bruce as determination flared in his children’s eyes. He saw Damian puff up, ready to-
“I accep-”
“Clark. Joseph. Kent.”
The effect was immediate. Kal’s victorious grin vanished as he snapped his head toward Bruce. The room fell silent. Kal straightened, then unconsciously hunched as he walked toward him, like a chastened kid called to the principal’s office.

Gotham is having a very strange Christmas.
Bruce Wayne’s latest vigilante experiment, a horned shadowy figure the press has named “Krampus,” was supposed to terrify criminals. Instead, it has gone viral as Gotham’s new holiday mascot. Clark Kent, investigative reporter and part-time baker, is on the case. He is following Krampus’s trail of cookie crumbs (literally) while secretly moonlighting as “Super Santa” to fix Gotham’s holiday chaos.
Between gingerbread turtle clues, a viral photo of Krampus tangled in Christmas lights, and Alfred’s endless commentary, Bruce is one bad cape snag away from losing his mind. Meanwhile, Clark is just trying to figure out if Gotham’s scariest new legend is a monster, a myth, or a very grumpy man who needs a hug.

Batman opened his hand, splayed his fingers, metal claws catching moonlight with a flash, reflecting bright in reddened eyes at his feet. Criminals learned by example. Lessons needed to be taught, driven in hard if they had any chance of sticking. They needed to be shown what their choices led to, and what they led to was vengeance.
‘Did you at least consider that he might be desperate? That he doesn’t want to sell drugs but has to?’
Batman grit his teeth hard enough to grind at the thought of him. Olive coloured skin and dark blue eyes, black hair hanging in his face, half drowned by rain. A ridiculously bright suit that had as much of a place in Gotham as the alien wearing it did.
Superman.
Turns out Superman can have an influence even if he isn't there. Batman isn't pleased about it.
