My take on a post Ballad fix it fic because Stephanie hurt my heart
Evangeline is lost after she woke up several weeks ago with no recollection of the most recent years of her life. All she knows is her childhood fairytale dream came true, and she has a dashing prince for a husband who seems to worship at her feet. Despite her seemingly fantastical reality, she can't stop trying to regain her memories, and can't figure out why Apollo doesn't seem to be helping her (spoiler it's because he sucks and he's a dumb stupid man who doesn't respect women's autonomy).
Meanwhile people from Evangeline's missing past keep showing up and she's beginning to suspect no one is being fully truthful with her, and no one seems to want to answer her questions about a certain enchanting, blonde haired, apple eating figure who keeps showing up in both her dreams and reality.

Summary
"Caraval Preparatory School for Extraordinary Teens was located on a small, remote island. There was a small town there as well, but the school was the only reason people knew about it. There island was hard to find, and the school was even harder to get into. There were no applications, only invitations. All students had to be personally invited via letter by the headmaster to attend."
Scarlett and Donatella Dragna get invited to spend their senior and junior years, respectively, at Caraval Prep. Donatella is ecstatic and ready to get up trouble, Scarlett is wearisome about the circumstances, and Evangeline is trying to get through her sophomore year with at least one friend. POV switches between the three of them and the whole thing is largely based off of vibes, romance, and drama, but their stories to begin to intersect and connect in unexpected ways.

“Luc? Yeah, he does.” Evangeline replied, still confused why he wanted to know.
“Well. I might have to take you up on your offer then.” He said, looking back out the windows, the direction Luc had gone.

“Luc!” Marisol Tourmaline said, dipping down to the boy, trying to make sure he was okay.
Jacks smirked, never really stopping, as he reached into his pocket and taking out a slim wallet. He slid out a business card, dropping it on Luc and Marisol.
“Here’s my fathers number. You can go ahead and ask him if you need money for a new personality.” Jacks laughed.

And he wasn't going to let his desires make him lose Evangeline forever. So he tries to leave her in her new life with her simpering prince.
