Summary
AU Where Evangeline keeps her memories and Time takes Jacks’ immortality instead. He is a bit OOC, minimally.
A bit of a retelling of the night in the valory arch, from Jacks’ pov. It’s also about him finding emotions instead of keeping them bottled up. Angst in chapter one, More fluff in chapter two.
There is a fanon background I made for Jacks, that references Peter Pan and Victorian London, as well as an OC. It doesn’t greatly impacted the story, but is referenced a few times.

“Do you have a phone line?” He asked, and it may again be a trick of the light but his ears looked pink. Evangeline laughed a bit. He turned pink further.
“No.” She giggled over breaths, and Jacks turned away, dejected.
“But I do have an email.” She said, remembering the computer in the charity shop that could most certainly run a few emails. Jacks looked up, smiling at this.
Evangeline took out an old ballpoint pen, stashed in the darkest parts of her pockets, forgotten, and grabbed Jacks’ hand, scribbling on it.
“There.” She told him, putting the cap back on.
“Then I’ll see you again?” He asked, hope leaking into his voice.
Evangeline smiled, rose gold hair shining in the light.
“I’d like nothing more.”

“Welcome!-” Evangeline started before she looked up and saw the boy striding in.
“That boy go to your school?” Jacks, in all his rich and regal splendor stood in front of Evangeline.
“Jacks! What are you doing here?” She asked, confused.
“The shop’s open. So.” Jacks said, looking around with a small smile. “Does he?” He asked again, and Jacks definitely did not talk about Luc with the nicest intent in his tone.
“Luc? Yeah, he does.” Evangeline replied, still confused why he wanted to know.
“Well. I might have to take you up on your offer then.” He said, looking back out the windows, the direction Luc had gone.

“Woah there.” Jacks said, sidestepping. Luc swung again. Jacks brought his leg up, hitting him in the stomach. He fell over.
“Luc!” Marisol Tourmaline said, dipping down to the boy, trying to make sure he was okay.
Jacks smirked, never really stopping, as he reached into his pocket and taking out a slim wallet. He slid out a business card, dropping it on Luc and Marisol.
“Here’s my fathers number. You can go ahead and ask him if you need money for a new personality.” Jacks laughed.
