The room was dark save for the soft candlelight on the table, it was hot and humid with the smell of roses, and he’d just eaten the fanciest slice of cake in his life. But the bells and whistles of romance always lead to an escalating series of events.
Now Cirrus was inches away from his face, pinning him against the wall. Warm fingertips trailed past the hem of his shirt, it sent shockwaves up his spine as it squeezed the cold bare skin of his waist.
“Skylar…” He cooed. His breath smelled of mint, his red gaze locked onto his own. He’s gonna do it, Skylar thought. He’s gonna kiss me…

Cirrus turned in his seat, left hand in his pocket and brows slightly furrowed. “What?”
He squatted down, lowering himself so that his eyes were level to Cirrus’ deal. “I think Skylar’s seeing someone. Do you know anything?”
“Really now?” A cat-like smirk formed on Cirrus’ face, he leaned further back into his chair. “What makes you say that?”

Following the steep and winded path, he made it up the tiny hill. The camphor tree planted next to his friend had grown exponentially in the last month; it stood much taller than Chan-Il now. Its branches shrouded his friend in shade, the letters engraved on the stone half-shielded from the light.

On their graduation day, Chan-Il visits the grave of his old friend Cirrus. He wanted some closure or reconciliation. While there he bumps into Skylar who he hasn't seen since Cirrus' death. Desperate to help, he forces Skylar to spend the day with him. He ends up learning more about his friends... Maybe too much. [This took so much longer to write than my usual work...]

Silence stewed as they stared at one another, the heat rising from his chest to his throat as the seconds struck.
I want to kiss him.
Cirrus lay Skylar’s head on the sheets and crawled on top of him. Their eyes leveled as he looked down to his lover below him. Splaying his palm on Skylar’s chest, Cirrus noticed his heart was also beating rapidly, and he was sure it was for the same reasons as him.
He brought his lips lower and lower, closer to Skylar’s beneath him.
I don’t know how much longer I can hold it in. Please… don’t let go of me.

Now that they were actually together, Cirrus is having difficulty processing just how much he loves being around Skylar. He loves him so much he can't put it into words. Sadly, Skylar's pace was so much slower than his. How much longer was he gonna need to wait? How long could he resist?

Skylar swallowed, Cirrus’ firm grip along with the airiness in his voice left a tingling sensation that started from his head and traveled all the way down to the nerves of his toes.
Sensing this, Cirrus chuckled, pulling the hand from his cheek to the delicate softness of his lips before leaving a small peck right above Skylar’s knuckle. “Okay, my turn.”

In which Skylar and Cirrus play a game of questions to see who knows who more, but with a twist: A kissing game of escalating stakes where the loser of each question has to kiss their lover in places they usually don't consider.Rules: Each time you get a question wrong, the kiss goes somewhere else. “The nicest one in town. Come sit with me.” Cirrus sinks himself into the grass, not even worrying about the dirt sticking to his pants. It was unlike him to be so nonchalant about his clothes.
Skylar sits next to him, guarded. “Cirrus, why are we here?”
Silver-hair flows with the wind as if letting it answer for him. Then, he speaks. “It’s beautiful isn’t it?”

Upon learning that Skylar doesn't get accepted into the same University as Cirrus, he tries to break the news to Cirrus. But it hurts him so much he struggles to find the right time to say it. Drama ensues.

“-It probably just came from the window or something.” Chan-Il is quick to dismiss their suspicions, “I actually had something to give you.”
Phew. Skylar glares at Cirrus, “Will you shut up or do I have to shut you up?” He whispers.
Cirrus smirks, “Oh don’t worry. I’ve got just the thing.” his legs wrap around the boy above, pressing their bodies close. Cirrus crashes their lips together, and he panics.

The decision leads to Skylar getting a bit more attention than he used to, and neither of them seem to know how to deal with that properly. Cirrus stripped himself before undressing Skylar in one go. He laid both of Skylar’s legs on his side, the dark-haired boy only barely resisting the pain of his leg being pushed and pulled around. The motion was no different from when they usually did it on a casual Friday night in the bedroom, but unlike at home where they had the bottle of lube by the dresser, Cirrus had only his saliva, but he made due, working the warm liquid on both his hard-on and Skylar’s entrance.

Summary
Cirrus’ voice was unmistakable. A few notes lower, but still playful and coy as he chuckled. The old flame sat on the swing beside Skylar. “Three years...” He said, swinging lightly in place with the balls of his feet.
“Would you take me back?” Skylar meant it as a joke, but desperation came out instead.
Cirrus chuckled, he shoved his left hand in his pocket the way he always did when he was nervous, and reached out to Skylar with the other, “In every single way the universe would allow.”
Skylar who had been living in Pohang with Minwoo returned to Seoul alone. He finds himself spending a lot of time with Cirrus, where moments of weakness start escalating into something more.
(Basically Skylar and Cirrus are married to different people and they still like each other so you see where this is going)
