Summary
It had happened too many times already. Grian woke up, heart pounding, sweat beading on his forehead, hands trembling and mind racing as he tried to distance himself from the images in his mind.
When most people had a nightmare it was easy enough to move on. Most people could remind themselves that it wasn’t real, that it was all just a dream, the images would fade away to nothing and sleep would come once again. Except, for Grian, that wasn’t the case. Third Life had been real. The dreams were memories, not stories, and every night he saw the same things flash before his eyes: Scar dying, Ren rising to power, Cleo, Etho, Impulse - so many of his friends had died because of him.
Yet here they all were again, a new server, a safe server, where they built and mined and laughed and smiled without a care in the world. It was as if everyone else had forgotten.

Summary
After watching the stars while crossing the swamp, the dark oak forest began closing in around her and she decided to close her eyes. Even as she did Stress knew it wasn’t the smartest idea, but the feeling of the cool night air through her hair after such a long day was too good to resist. If she got into any real trouble it would be easy enough to call for help on her communicator, and there were enough Hermits living nearby that she wouldn’t have to wait around long for help.

The paths that Bdubs has made to get around the continent are a great way to link up all the Hermits and their bases - it's just a shame what can happen in the dark of night under the cover of a dark forest.Series

Gem was a fantastic customer for the Swaggon. She always seemed to need something in bulk and Scar was more than happy to oblige. Of course, it didn’t hurt that moving the Swaggon a little closer or restocking came with a reason to bump into one of the newest Hermits.

Summary
Quite frankly, Mumbo was impressed with Tango’s dedication to marketing. Once he’d gotten over the jibes (he did not slaughter cows when no one was looking!) he’d found them all entertaining, and given that the monsters seemed to have clustered around his base he let them hit him a few times. Respawning on the Hermitcraft server was never too painful or inconvenient, so letting a couple of Zombie’s best him for the sake of Tango’s clever scheme coming to fruition (and getting some laughs from his servermates) was perfectly alright.
MumboJumbo was killed by “Big Eye Products won’t Disappoint. Much.”

Gem harrumphed as she stared at the strange plant in the pot before her, her arms crossed on her table and head rested upon her arms. It had been a week since she’d received the gift from Evil Xisuma - who really didn’t seem to be that evil at all: the worst he’d done to her was leave her with inadequate instructions on how to take care of the plant. Whenever Gem had gone to visit Xisuma to ask of his whereabouts she had been told he was nowhere to be found, which had left her and Jolene struggling together to no avail.

Impulse watched Gem’s eyes sparkle as the factory filled the horizon. It wasn’t done - it was far from done in fact - but the childlike wonder that consumed her was enough for pride to bubble up in his stomach. It fizzed and mixed with something else, a different feeling that always seemed to creep up on him when he was around the young woman, and he bit his tongue to try and push it down. It worked, for a moment, until Gem let out a breathy laugh and whispered his name.

Gem hadn’t had much to drink. Maybe one or two, but it was just a little liquid courage to help her relax. She still felt new in the group, the party Xisuma was throwing was the first time she was really letting go in front of the Hermits and - of course - he would be there.
Not that him being there was a bad thing. He was a Hermit, of course he’d be there, but it made Gem feel nauseous in the best way possible. She liked being around him, liked teasing him and winding him up, but liked making him laugh and watching him smile. She just wasn’t sure how to act now, when the usual lines of working and playing were tossed aside and they were in close proximity, in darkened rooms, and slightly inebriated.

“Stop laughing.” Mumbo laughed, waving at Iskall to try and stop him from snickering. If they had a chance of pulling this off they needed to stop giggling, but with a plan as solid as theirs it was difficult to do so.
“I’m coming!” A sing-song voice came from inside the moon-base, and after a few more attempts to stifle their laughter the two men waiting outside Bdubs’ door finally managed to be quiet.

The list of things he wasn’t quite so good at… Well, if you asked Scar, that was an awful lot longer. He wrung his hands as he paced Boatem - trying to get rid of his nervous energy - his footsteps over the past ten minutes having firmly made their mark: the grass beneath his feet had been trodden over so many times that it would no longer rebound and stand tall.

Who would have thought when Season 8 started that Scar would have made a killing Creeper wrangling for the other Hermits? He’d had no idea that charged Creepers were in such great demand from his peers - he might have started selling them earlier if he’d known! And he was getting pretty good at it now, too. He’d talked himself up when Cub and Grian had wanted their Creepers delivered but he was truly starting to get the hang of things. In fact, it was starting to feel easy.
Of course, those were famous last words.

The rain poured down outside Zedaph’s lab, a constant, quiet rhythm that helped to focus his mind. If he listened particularly hard he could hear waves crashing against rocks, he could hear the howling wind, he could hear tree branches bending. His favourite moments were when the sky lit up and he heard a rumble of thunder, slowly growing in volume as the centre of the storm moved closer to his lab. The approaching crescendo gave him something to ground himself as his body shifted.

Really, Scar should probably have foreseen this when he’d chosen to build the vast majority of his home out of copper. It rarely rained on Hermitcraft, but now whenever it rained it seemed to be heavier and the skies filled with electricity. It wasn’t just a shift in the mood, but a shift in the atmosphere. Summary
Boatem was dressed to the nines, with orange, red and black cloth woven from dyed string hanging from starter base to starter base, homemade bunting flapped in the autumnal wind. Hay bales that had been crafted but not yet stored for winter had been used to make stalls, Hermits from all across the server coming with their finest wares to fill in the popup shops and browse what others had for sale. Some Hermits had gone a more traditional route - Gem had brought free range eggs from her chickens, freshly baked pumpkin pies from her kitchen, and punnets full of glowberries - while others had brought stock from their shops - Tango had barely left his stall for five minutes before people were asking if he had more iron.
