“I’ll be here when you wake up,” Puffy said softly, Ranbooo not responding. She pulled a blanket over him and it did nothing for the cold chill that spread in his bones. He shook under the covers as Puffy took a seat at the table, soft footsteps coming down from the stairs and a kiss was pressed to his temple. He barely registered Niki’s voice, nor Puffy’s, nor the ring of a comm.
