"I know," Castiel murmurs, still just smiling a little, not looking heartbroken at all. "Don't worry about it, Dean, that's all I ask."
"So we're—" Dean risks a glance up, swallowing thickly. "We're good?"
Castiel hums. "We're good."

Dixon begins to peel the label off of his beer bottle, needing something to do with his hands, and nodded, “Yeah, I know. I just- wanted to, I guess,” he shrugs. Focuses on the shredded paper piling up on the sticky counter rather than the young man next to him, “besides, I definitely owed you at least a drink.”
He looks over to Welby at that and sees when the kid realizes what he means. He snorts with a shake of his head, “Oh really? Then where’s my damn straw? I remember that was a pretty big deal at the time.”

There's something slightly intoxicating about being so close to Joker at his most vulnerable, his rawest. His pupils are blown, black overtaking green, and there's something quietly challenging in that gaze that sets Bruce's skin alight at every point of contact.
(Literally a cavity search fic, because Joker's a naughty boy and no one else is game enough to search him. They both just really need to get laid, guys.)
