He noticed his pack looking at him, and they didn’t seem as relieved as Stiles expected. In fact they were looking in his direction as if he had grown a second head or something.
“I don’t think you should look so surprised, I’ve been training a lot lately, okay?” He said indignantly, crossing his arms.
“Stiles, that’s not...” Scott said, half pointing at his direction.
That’s when Stiles heard that familiar voice again from behind him, “I think they’re confused about me, buddy.”
Stiles then remembered that he had to thank the stranger who had helped them, but... Wait... That familiar voice… Was that his voice? He turned around abruptly, wide eyed. He took three steps back, tripping and nearly falling on the ground.
Or: Stiles accidentally summons his future self who claims they can heal the nemeton.
If he helps younger Stiles and Derek to see what's always been right in front of them, that's a pleasant coincidence. Right?- Language:

OMG!!! I just read this on tumblr - I don't know how to comment there (I am a serial stalker) - but I had to find it here and say, OMG! This is so beautiful and heartbreaking and hopeful and lovely and just GAHHHH, I can't even express the emotions and hurt and hope that I felt while reading this. This was sooooo good. I felt confused right along with Derek about this sarcastic, beautiful little shit...why did Derek not remember him and others seemed to? I felt sad right along with Stiles...why do the people I love, why do they always die. I have no idea how he gave Derek up. That was some crazy, life-changing decision, and my heart broke so much for him, those few moments from his POV were tough. But you can't keep Stiles and Derek from being stilesandderek, life wont let it be that way, and forgiveness is such a powerful and beautiful thing here.
I'm going to re-read this weekend and might even comment again once I'm done.

Ok, I have more to say...I didn't realize I had read this before until right before the last time jump. I knew they were going to the 80s and they were going to be punks! I still LOVED this story. It is so heartbreaking and I just wanted to beat Stiles upside the head a few times. It was so painful after Derek evolved and they both knew, but I totally got the pain that Stiles had gone through before that. Some things were said and he just couldn't let go. The desperate sex at the end of the TW timeline...F...U...C...K!!! That was the worst and most beautiful thing and I cried so fucking much!
But the ending was perfect and hopeful and silly and just...them.

If Derek was boner inducing when Stiles knew him before, equal parts terrifying and sexy, back at the age of twenty four, well... it’s not a patch on what thirty year old Derek’s got going for him.
Derek’s still got a stupid leather jacket and his black hair is slightly longer than Stiles remembers. The stubble is longer too, not quite a beard but still neatly shaped in a way that makes his cheekbones stand out.
And the eyes, shit, the eyes. He’s staring at Stiles with this stormy mix of grey, blue and about a thousand other colours thrown in and Stiles couldn’t break eye contact if he wanted to.

OMG, I loved this story and Derek wasn't even really in to until the second half...but OH, what a second half!!! Loved Stiles being a cop, and his reasons for not going back to the FBI; loved his reasons for not really connecting with anyone (on that level) because his heart belonged to some sourwolf who he thought he'd never see again; loved the twins and how Scott and Malia have totally different parenting styles; loved Denny; just loved it all. But once Derek showed up....fuck, yeah! L REALLY loved it then! Ajdbrhcytuebjrjwy&:$(_!!!! And in my faves bin, right the fuck now!

Standing next to not-Derek – whoa, holding not-Derek’s hand? – is someone who looks remarkably like Stiles. Is Stiles, a slightly-altered replica, just like this guy both is and isn't Derek.
It’s not like looking into a mirror – one, because looking into a mirror actually makes some kind of sense, and two, because not-Stiles looks older too, mid twenties maybe. And the tips of his short, spiky hair are dark purple, and he’s got a lip ring and he’s shirtless and covered in tattoos and what the holy hell?
