“Mike,” Will grunts. His cheeks are flushed and his eyes look dazed, but Mike sighs in relief, and his eyes lock onto Will’s lips as he speaks.
“Help me up.”
Will’s request is phrased more like a statement, but only a second beats before both of Mike’s nimble hands are on Will’s waist. Mike pulls Will up by the torso and props him up on the bathtub wall. Will just looks at the boy in front of him and flashes him a small closed-mouth smile—likely as a small thanks—before promptly dropping it and returning to his blank expression.
Will Byers has been hiding a problem from everyone. When his problem flares up during a hang out, he has a hard time hiding in from his best friend, Mike.
