“Percy!” Annabeth screeched, hitting his back with her fists as she bursted out into laughter. “What are you doing?”
“This is what you get,” he breathed, setting her down on the sand when they finally reached near the beach. She was staring up at him, and she could see the tiny snowflakes littering his lashes and the ones scattered on the tips of his curls. “For being a slowpoke.”

Summary
“I missed you.” Jinx whines into his lips, breathless and raw. “Ekko, come on.” His heart thumps against his chest with a rhythm only she brings out, flooding his senses with her scent, her touch, her hold on that wretched heart of his.
“Stop talking.” Ekko hums quietly, dodging her lips to kiss her jaw. “You’re a liar.” Her nails slip into his locks, scratching his scalp the way she knows will turn his gears. She rasps out, “Don’t mark me, bug.”
Ekko suckles on her skin furiously—almost as a punishment—shutting his eyes to savor every sharp inhale of hers, every sign that maybe she really did miss him. “I can’t stand your voice.” He mumbles before catching her lips again, pressing harder when he feels like she’ll talk again.

Jinx and Ekko are on opposite sides of the conflict, and yet, they are joined in secret. They hook up in alleys, hidden and tucked away from the eyes of others. Until one day, where Jinx decides she's had enough of the casual encounters. The longing is torturous to Ekko, but he tries to resist it for the sake of his people.
