Summary
The moments leading up to the crash happen in slow motion. Will’s a few cars ahead of him, blinker on, patiently waiting for the light to turn green.The light changes, Will’s car edges into the intersection, and Mack’s heart drops into his stomach. It’s half a second, half a second and it feels like his world has imploded.
“Will!” Mack yanks at the door, whining as the metal creaks and groans but refuses to budge. “Fuck, Will!” Mack sucks in a sharp breath as his fist connects with glass. The driver's side window shatters but Mack barely feels the sting.
Or: Will has amnesia and Mack struggles to cope.
