Summary
After you'd moved in, Dex installed the cameras to keep an eye on you while he wasn't around. The apartment isn't unsafe, and he really doesn't need the added security, he just likes the assurance. When the world is too much, and he's struggling to hear anything over the buzzing in his brain, he can check his phone and see you there, keeping the world turning.
Now, you're keeping him semi-entertained. Nothing is happening around the snitch, so Dex is only half-watching him. Most of his attention is on you, drinking a glass of wine at 2pm and dancing through the kitchen. His mouth quirks up in a smile as you sing along to whatever music you have on, totally unaware that he's watching.

As you lean over the sink, you're eye-level with your new plant. Despite the little thing being a new addition, you can see that something is wrong with it; the little spots around the big thing in the middle look… engorged, for lack of a better word. "Hey, Adrian, can you take a look at this?"
He comes running, and peers at the plant when you explain. "I mean, I don't know for sure, but it reminds me of dandelions just before they fluff everywhere," he says, squinting.
When you both lean in to inspect it, the already-swollen anthers burst, spraying both of you with a fine dust.
