Summary
Is that a fucking person?
Nancy lowered her body, sizing up the space ahead of them. She lowered her arm and reached for her gun. Lucas gripped his crowbar, wringing it over with his hands. Mike just stared, knife forgotten, shoved into the side of his belt.
The shadow moved slowly and hunched slightly forward.
That’s a fucking person.
“Will?” It was a quiet question, private almost, let out with an unsound breath. Mike tasted it like copper in his mouth as each letter sounded out past his gently parted lips.
That’s when Nancy shot. Heat and gunpowder soaked the air, followed by a shrill ringing sound that accompanied the loud bang.

Summary
Mike had the look on his face that made Will want to grab him by the shoulders and say what are you thinking, what are you always thinking, just tell me, please, I'm so tired.
Will watched his eyes move across the words;
We will love each other forever.
We will NEVER leave.
We will be the Best Husbands Ever."We did a blood oath. We said we'd do it when we turned eighteen. We're eighteen."
"You can't be serious."
"It's the rules, Will."
They were standing in the ruins of the place where they'd pressed their bleeding fingers together and sworn to be the best husbands ever, and Mike was holding their wedding vows against his chest and asking Will to get in a van with him and drive across the country and pretend to be married for two weeks.
For a second they were eight again, and Mike was saying we'd never have to go home because we'd already be home.
"Okay. Okay, fine. Let's do it."

Summary
The Byers were only supposed to stay with the Wheelers temporarily.
Mike doesn’t see why they should leave at all.
After everything Will’s been through, the least he can do is make sure he has a place to stay—even if that means sharing his room again.
Mike’s pretty sure it won’t be weird.
Probably.
OR: Sharing a room with your best friend shouldn’t be a big deal.
Mike is about to learn that it might be.

Summary
Doe-eyed Will and his brother, Jonathan, move to Hawkins for a fresh start. What they don't realise is that living in Hawkins has its consequences: colossal crucifixes, religious banners -- and a law to attend Sunday Mass. Queasy with the fog of incense and cheap perfume, Will tries his best to blend in.
But when he meets a dark haired boy, he discovers that he isn't the only one suffocating. And that same boy happens to be the preacher's son.

Summary
“What?”, Will huffs, shaking his head in disbelief. “You know blue does not only equate sadness, right? It is one of the blatantly obvious meanings, sure, but it can also imply tranquility, loyalty, trust, peace, and—"
Shut up, shut up, shut up, the voice in his head screams by now, but one cannot interrupt Will in the middle of one of his art rants. Impossible. No chance. “And with the vastness of the sky or sea, blue is also often associated with distance, longing, yearning, and— stuff.”
“Distance”, Mike echoes, and only then does Will truly understand what he has just admitted into the air freely, completely unprovoked and voluntarily. “Longing. Yearning.”
Obviously, this is the exact moment Robert Smith decides to sing about the fact that it is Friday, and that he is very much in love.
Five times Mike distracts Will from his art assignments with his stupidly flirtatious ways, and one time Will actually needs his help to complete a coursework.
