It's baseball season again, and the Mondstadt Knights are doing their... best. Against the titan team, the Snezhnaya Harbingers, they stand almost no hope of winning, but just like their weak chances, the Harbingers' star hitter Ajax Lisitsyn has almost no chance with the Knights' pitcher, Kaeya Alberich.
It's not like he'll give up with those odds, though. Kaeya told him to impress him, and that's what he'll do.

Summary
Kaeya slips up, says that not only does he have a plus-one for his brother’s surprise wedding, but a boyfriend— something he definitely does not have.
Ajax, his heart too big for his body, offers to go as this so-called boyfriend, which only serves to send Kaeya into a deeper spiral of panic.
The spiral winds tighter and tighter as things go on between them in their fake relationship, and by the end neither know how long they can keep their respective secrets.
Turns out, after living with each other for four years, it’s not only similar habits you pick up but similar feelings as well.

Kaeya's life was stolen from him in the night. He had to run from the truth. It's been a lonesome road to reclaiming parts of himself, but he'll soon learn that it doesn't have to be lonely.
