Summary
Magic is innate to each living thing. Everything that moves, breathes and bleeds has the potential for magic. Some just more than others. The strength of somebody’s magic is determined by their core. And the classification of their magic stems from their soul.
Sometimes the core and the soul don’t agree on things. This creates volatile magic, destructive and life-stealing in nature. These sorcerers are known as necromancers. The clashing of the essences of the core and soul creates a darkness. Their magic eats at them. This makes the expressions of their magic temperamental and intense but unreliable.
Newt is an aeromancer living in the Glade, where things are going as they've always gone. Orderly. When the new Greenie spit out by the box approaches him with a strange idea, Newt feels pulled toward it. Perhaps it's an excuse to use his magic in a helpful way again. Perhaps he's just fed up with the Maze. Or perhaps its the Greenies coal-black eyes burning into him that convinces him to think like a shark.

Summary
Thomas' new life began in a metal box lurching through an elevator shaft. Confused, scared and filled with curiosity, he thinks the boys laughing maliciously at him are going to roast him over an open fire and eat him. When that doesn't happen, he's left with too many questions about who he is and where he came from. In his heart, though, he knows that he must become a Runner. A boy who is chosen to run through their prison, a Maze, and find an escape.
This is a rewrite of the Maze Runner movies. I don't really know if rewrite is the right word, but I'm using this as an opportunity to practice my writing. It'll follow the structure of the movies with minor adjustments, especially just now in the first one. Later on more adjustments will happen, I think. I also want to include Newt/Thomas in this rewrite as I find the ship cute.
My writing is a bit clunky and all-over-the-place but I hope you enjoy :)Please feel free to offer constructive criticism. It will always be welcome. Also, feel free to point out any mistakes or things that don't make sense?

Summary
Harry doesn’t think much about the Triwizard Tournament beyond being relieved that he won’t have anything to do with it at all. It seems like he might finally have a quiet, peaceful year.
So, of course, his name ends up coming out of the Goblet of Fire despite the fact that he would never in a million years enter this death tournament willingly.
The entire school turns their back on him once more, only this time, he truly feels alone. Is this how it’s always going to be? Year after year of being thrown into life-threatening danger at Hogwarts while surrounded by people who can’t decide whether they love or hate him only to be shunted off to the Dursleys –who certainly aren’t shy about how much they hate him– every summer?
It feels like the fighting never ends. Harry is so, so tired…

Summary
Dennis Whitaker has hated storms for as long as he can remember. From under a pile of rubble with a long shard of 2x4 piercing through his side, he thinks about the massive “I told you so” he’s going to say to his therapist if he somehow lives through the night.
or:
Dennis is injured in the field while facing one of his worst fears, and Robby has to deal with the reality that he has feelings for Dennis, that Dennis might not recover, and that it's his fault that Dennis was in the field in the first place.

Summary
A lot of workplaces saw a vampire feeding from a coworker similar to people dating. Therefore, similar regulations. Nothing really enforced on a federal or state level. In the PTMC, those regulations weren’t common. Then again, in the whole hospital, Dennis was one of two vampires. And the other had a blood letter. Dennis just had weird ass dive bars.
