    Summary

At night, when the day's been too long and everything too demanding, Arthur lets himself think about how he wants Merlin to come back, just so he can turn him away. How he wants Merlin to come back just so he can yell at him and let him come back, anyway. How he hopes Merlin won't ever come back because he's scared that, if he does, Arthur will skip the yelling and the anger and go straight to relief. To forgiveness.
