There's a version of this story that's many thousands of words and is a love story to The Last Unicorn and Nobody Rides The Unicorn and Margo Lanagan's short story A Thousand Flowers, but this one is 669 (nice) words and is still in my heart a love story to those things, but is actually mainly lush descriptions of unicorn centaur Megatron. However, it's also the one that actually exists, so it wins!
