Summary
The Paladin yearned for love, for simple care as his fiancé—his Mage, does not care for his heart. Mike was a simple heart, nothing more. And all his heart needed was to love and worship somebody, somebody new. The Cleric was new, his mind had never experienced a ripe heart like the Paladin.
Would this be it? Would the Cleric’s mind be right, just enough for the Paladin’s heart?

Summary
“Yes, the name Will the Wise will certainly be known throughout the land: Protector of the world, saver of his party member’s asses from their hotheaded leader! In fact, his name is so great, allow me to lead everyone in a song for his honor! Oh for he’s-“
“That’s really not necessary, Dustin, but thank you,” Will interrupted, at the same time Mike exclaimed, with cheeks flushed in anger, “Hey! I am not a hot-head!”

According to a divine prophecy, Mike and his party have a year to defeat Vecna before the Undying King fulfills his mission of destroying the world and killing everyone on it. So, no pressure.
On top of this, Mike has been given his own prophecy which states that, during the final battle with Vecna, he would meet the person he was destined to fall in love with- His soulmate. Except there was one problem with this:

Summary
The kingdom of Hawkins had been split in two since history remembered well enough to recount, and it had nothing to do with the acre-stretching cracks in the ground.
Humans had always been at odds with creatures. A Cold War between magic and normalcy, waged by the powerful, in the north of the kingdom where their monarchy stood.
The world was beginning to change around them. Magic was no longer just scorned on the streets, but a punishable offence - creatures of all kinds were being arrested, and his sister - El, the most powerful mage he had ever known - was missing.
Enemy of the crown, picture of the rebellion and desperate for a miracle Will Byers, on the adventure for a prophecy. To find his sister. He had more than just his powers to guide him - he had a plan.
… a plan which definitely did not account for Mike Wheeler.

Summary
What initially begins as Mike and Will calling each other exaggeratedly cheesy pet names to mess with Max and Lucas starts spiralling into something a lot more intimate and dangerous. Will isn't really sure where they managed to lose the plot, or how far they can go before there's no turning back.
Or: Max and Lucas go through a late honeymoon phase. It's excessive. It's gross. Mike and Will (well, mostly Mike) decide to engage in exaggerated bouts of PDA to demonstrate how disgusting the couple are being. It starts to get out of control pretty quickly.

Summary
Will Byers moves away after graduation, going to college in New York with Jonathan, leaving Hawkins, Indiana and everything that came with it as a bleak memory (and occasional nightmare). Mike Wheeler can't bring himself to do the same. Mike writes stories about the entire party constantly, but he writes about El more. He writes about Will as much as he breathes.
Will and Mike had silently agreed to go no-contact right before Will left, one long look accompanied by silence being all they needed to know that this might be the end for them.
Will Byers doesn't find it too hard to move on enough to talk to other people, to fill in blanks. But what he does find hard, is finding someone he can really talk to. Nobody he meets will ever understand what happened to him in Hawkins from 1983 to 1987, nobody tangible at least. Mike decides Christmas would be a good time to break their no contact, calling Will nonstop and inviting him to a new year's party, one last trip to Hawkins, one more meetup.Bookmarked by kirai (raiinnHEH)
