It’s the same look Rumlow always had, that look of being drunk on power, all too happy with having the deadliest assassin ever made crumble under a simple word.

During the war, when Katsukis heart stopped his life flashed before his eyes. Instead of seeing his family or his friends, he sees Izuku. Why is he seeing Izuku, his rival, as his lover? This isn't right, he isn't supposed to feel this way. when he wakes up at the hospital he remembers everything. He can't tell Izuku about this, if he ever let it slip it would ruin his friendship with Izuku, and he can't risk that happening.

Summary
Time began to dissolve into nothingness. The coffin filled with water, Katsuki held his breath as long as he could, eventually he’d drown, then the water would drain and he’d revive. Repeat. Repeat. Fucking repeat. He stopped counting after several dozen. Maybe halfway through, he assumed it became more about torturing Katsuki than it ever was an attempt to convert him to their cause.
After another dozen deaths, he stopped fighting it. He stopped trying to hack the water from his lungs each time he revived and the water drained. He stopped trying to fight the water. He’d willingly suck it down the moment it filled past his face. Katsuki stopped fighting the reality that he was going to die only seconds after being brought back to life.
Katsuki stopped fearing death, because death lost all meaning.
