Summary
A dumping ground for Silmarillion fic bits that I will probably never finish or find a place for, but like too much to leave languishing in my files forever.
01: [the start of] Elrond's first conversation with Elwing in Valinor
02: Nienna comes to Caranthir in the Halls of Mandos
03: Haleth/Caranthir, clarifying some rumors -

Spring break doesn't start as planned, but Fingon is nothing if not adaptable. Especially when it means he gets to spend more time with Maedhros.

Sharing a bed is all well and good, except for all the ways that it isn’t. Celegorm loves his family enough to put up with it anyway.

Summary
There’s a tension that grows whenever Nolofinwë and Fëanáro are in the same room, and if left unchecked it tends to get ugly. Ingoldo could do something about it — it usually falls to him or Mother anyway — but he shouldn’t have to manage his family on the single, solitary day of the year that’s supposed to be about him.
Or: The family dinner goes as well as it ever does, which is to say not well at all. This wouldn’t be so terrible if it weren’t also Finarfin’s begetting day.

Over the rest of the day, the haze under his skin only grew worse, his nerves buzzing and numb, his eyes tired, blurred. Everything felt…too far away, like a gap had opened between himself and his skin and reality itself, and it left him cold and weak in its wake.
