George doesn't really care that Dream is late or that he's been busy in the studio without him. His anger—or frustration, to be more accurate—comes from somewhere else. The roots of it go years back, though it started growing at a much faster rate when George moved to Florida.
When Sapnap leaves L.A. early and Dream stays at the studio late, George ends up going to a party at Austin’s place on his own.

Summary
If there’s one thing George knows, it’s that he hates Dream. He always has and he always will. Even after their parents get married, George hates Dream.
When he goes away to college, he thinks that he’ll finally get the chance to escape, only to have that ruined by Dream, too. Not only did he get accepted to the very same university to play for their football team, but even worse, they also have to share a dorm room.
But as George watches his stepbrother work harder and harder for an ungrateful team, balancing newfound fame and a resurfacing deadbeat dad, something horrible happens. George starts to empathize with Dream.
