Honestly I just wanted to write poetry to fill in in-universe gaps for what ritual and worship look like in the incredibly religious Lands Between. I might use elements of this in another fic, but I am very proud of the work in its entirety.

Oh my god I found it. Ten words in and I recognize this fic. I can see it in my head, the first time I visualized the scene, it's like smelling an old memory. I'm not sure, but this might be one of the fics I painstakingly saved in multiple tabs so I could read more than one chapter without internet on the flight to university. I love this fic.
