Summary

However, when attacked at random months after the fact, Craig appears to be one of the few who can help him manage the mental breaks he can't seem to escape. "Stop," he whimpered, wrapped in darkness and a strange, cold wetness under his cheek. "Make it stop..."
Heavy eyelids fluttered apart to reveal a dazed whiteness. A brightening. His mouth was slack, drool running from it; tongue sour. He retched, body convulsing. A nightmare, unseen, was sitting on his chest, making his heart fight for every beat. The world swam, swinging, swinging -
"Let me off..." His voice faded away before he gagged again.
"Let you off what?" A deep, flat voice asked, seemingly from out of nowhere.
All at once, the light was blotted out as a figure moved to stand over him, peering down. In Kyle's dazed state, he could see them tilt their head slightly, but couldn't make out any of their features.
Kyle blinked, the dimness from earlier beginning to collect again. He managed a smile, mouth trembling.
So, this was Death. Figures it would be in the shape of a man.
