Richie laughs dryly, humorlessly. After a long moment, he says, “Eddie, I love you.”
“I love you—”
“No,” Richie interrupts him. Eddie furrows his brow, his heart pounding again. “I told you, let me finish before you talk, you dipshit.” He shuts his eyes, exhales; Eddie’s terrified. When Richie opens his eyes again, he says, “Eds, I’m in love with you."

Summary
Bill is still sitting on the floor, back against the wall, where he was leaning and then just sort of deflated. “I don’t know what to do now,” he says, his eyes unfocused somewhere above Bev’s head. “I feel like I’m late for something, but I don’t know what.” A hank of hair falls in his eyes, that gray streak in the same place he used to get summer highlights from long days spent lazing in the quarry or the woods, so even now he doesn’t look old so much as sun bleached. The patina of age is shimmering on all of them.
“We need to get rid of the body,” Mike says.

‘There’s not a… sixteenth fear entity emerging, is there?’ asked Martin.
‘What? No. Of course not,’ said Peter, frowning. ‘I need you to go and visit Elias and deliver a message from me.’
‘Um,’ said Martin. This sounded worse, actually.
Martin had thought isolating himself from the rest of the world and reading horrible statements about the end of humanity was the worst his job as Peter's assistant could throw at him. It turned out he was very, very wrong.

And right now it’s basically just fifty-fifty whether I lose you to what’s in here,” Martin says, and he taps Jon’s temple, just next to his eyes, “or this,” he says, and he puts a hand over Jon’s heart. “So it doesn’t matter what I think or feel – I need to make sure you’re gonna be okay, or I won’t have anything left.”
“It doesn’t matter – of course it matters,” says Jon, horrified. “God. Martin. Did you really think I didn’t care what you were feeling about all this?”
Martin avoids his gaze.
