Summary
The letters he sent to Cyrene never got a response. His maid assured him they’ve been delivered, but it’s just so unlike Cyrene out of all people to never write one back despite his hundreds of letters to ask how she’s been doing.
It was miserable.
Even more so when his heat arrives. Countless nights he spent by himself, tortured by the constant ache and unbearable heat with no source of release. His fingers aren’t enough and he’s not allowed to take any medications for it either. Phainon had begged, begged on his knees for some form of suppressants, or anything to help him alleviate the pain he’s going through. And all the maid did was shake her head and tell him all the complications and how it’s unhealthy for him. As if this life in total loneliness was any more healthy for his mental state.In which Phainon gets whisked off from his arranged wedding to another arranged marriage and becomes convinced that he is hated by his mate. After a series of failed attempts at seduction and a threat to divorce, he finds that maybe his husband might not hate him at all.

Summary
Alone in the Garden of Life, the sky wanders with the petals blooming down from the tree. The sun beams with the bathing sensation, letting the chimera flop lazily on the thin grass, soft like a mattress. But why is the sun hiding under the dark, branches shade under his body while it was meant for the sun to shine bright for others. It’s as if the candle lit off, glooming in the dark after it had shunned for a very long time. Has he always been this pathetic for losing a battle that hasn’t even begun? Phainon could always try to win Mydei’s heart, learn a thing or two about Hephaestion’s relationship, or even ask if they were meant for each other?
He’d rather burn to ashes.

In short, Phainon learned that Mydei mourns deeply for Hephaestion, claiming that he once fell for him. Now that they reunite, Phainon had no chance to win Mydei and chose to spiral in his own demise. But the Kremnoan Detachment boys took interest instead, and probably cheer him up?
