“I think we can agree that it is important that someone understands themselves to unlock their full potential.” Kyouka starts with.
“That’s right.” Goka replies.
“Adolescent teenagers around Zanka’s age are at that stage where they’re going to start having to figure out who they are and what they envision themselves being in the future.”
“And the dress code has something to do with this?”
“I believe so. Appearances are important; the way someone carries themselves is quite telling of who they are as a person. I do think that a few of the restrictions that the Academy sets in place are reasonable, though the rules regarding hair are quite restrictive, don’t you think?”
“Well, I think the rules are fine as they are. Without that rule, Zanka would be mistaken for a girl or a creep. Hence, the letter we got.”
“What if Zanka’s okay with that?”
Or, Kyouka and Goka try to understand their Non-binary sibling who hasn’t figured out that they’re non-binary yet.
(This was a scrapped part of chapters three and five of “Whether that's X or Y.” It would probably make more sense to read that first, but I think it’s okay as a standalone…hopefully…)

“Uhh—You’re Zanka, right?” Enjin could've sworn that the suicidal teen he talked out of that well sounded like a guy; they talked for a decent amount of time, so he should be able to tell.
Said teen stood in front of him now, and Enjin wondered if he had it all wrong. The well that he—or she—maybe they?—hid themselves in was a dark place, so Enjin couldn't exactly get a full grasp of their appearance.

“Is this really a wise use of our time, Nee-san?” Goka squeezes the piping bag in his hands, writing out his little brother’s name with the sugary sweet baby blue icing onto a small round vanilla-flavoured cake that they had somehow managed to get their hands on, despite how hard it was to get cake in February with Valentine's poisoning lovebirds' heads.
“I’m not going to comment on that. This was mother’s orders.” She replies, rummaging through the cabinets to find the candles she had bought the other day.
Or, an old memory of the past, Zanka’s small birthday celebration with the Nijikus.

Summary
Secrecy amongst the elements wasn’t something uncommon. They all kept some things in the dark from each other with different reasons as to why, depending on the person.
But there’s a line to draw with that.
For example, if one of them were keeping important and potentially dangerous secrets hidden from everyone, it could lead to further problems in the future and harsh consequences.
There’s a lot to be said about it. Especially since they most likely inherited this thought pattern from their master.
What happens if you find out about one of your younger brother’s secrets? A rather alarming secret at that.
There’s a reason as to why the line has to be drawn somewhere. Or you’ll face the consequences of staying silent.
Or, Taufan, Solar, and Blaze are more similar than you think. The three share a couple of similar worries. Two of them are barely managing to stay afloat, and one is drowning in it.
Or, I am so terribly terrible at writing summaries. So, basically, Taufan, Blaze, and Solar have problems; we learn how they deal with them. Solar-centric and whatever…I think the tags speak for this fic!

Summary
Severe vitamin C deficiencies can result in the breakdown of collagen, also known as a major component of scar tissue. Therefore long term vitamin C deficiencies often result in poor healing wounds or even scar reopening if the conditions are right.
The Ground is known for having poor food quality, lacking nutrients which lead most to take supplements in order to stay healthy. Some districts such as the Kamuatari district however have good enough food supply that their citizens do not require such means. The issue arises when they spend a long amount of time outside of the district in poorer areas however.

Zanka knew he was weak, that he was letting Enjin down and tarnishing the image of Team Akuta. He tried to get better, he really had! Maybe an average joe like him will never be able to grow into anything special..
