I'm going to be honest and say I forgot I would need a title, sooo that might change. This is my first fanfic posted here! Yay! It's set after Caine get deleted in episode 8. All the characters drop out of their nightmares to find that they were still injured and the circus crumbling.--
“I’m back..!” “Did..Did the blanket help at all..?”
“..Yeah..”
Her voice portrayed it as she breathed out her response. “Good.. Good, I'm glad it did.” Before another awkward stretch of silence could occur, Pomni spoke again. Her voice is almost excited. “I-I got the tape. I don’t know if you need it, but it worked wonders on Raga-” Her voice was cut off and ended with a pained, shocked squeak sound. Like her throat couldn’t do anything more, but oh so desperately wanted to do everything at once. Her mind short circuited.
I was inspired by many different comics I've seen online, but for the life of me couldn't find to credit, so if anyone recognized the creators please let me know! Other than that, I look a lot of inspo from Finding Pleasure by Digital Means and One Bad Thing!

Instead of getting right in with them, Jax stared at the scene in front of him; his girlfriend and his four daughters all cramped in this moderately sized but still not very big bed. To make matters worse, he still had to get in, which would make it even more cramped with his size.
He had been bothered by it since the beginning, but looking it fully in the metaphorical eyes he realized: this was getting a bit ridiculous.

After Caine's accidental death, it has been three long weeks since Pomni (Christine) had left the “Amazing” Digital Circus. And things have been difficult. Not just difficult but she's been having to learn how to become human all over again. Pushing herself to the limits to peacefully piece back together all the broken parts of who she once was without feeling the total regret and guilt after losing the people she once cared so much about. But it wasn't just her struggling with all these problems. Over these three sad weeks of being completely alone, Jax (Felix), has quite a few mysteries and suspicions of his own that he has to uncover and face after being in the Circus for years! So what better way to struggle, than to unexpectedly bump into one of the few people in your life who you hoped to reunite with again, after promising to soon find each other, even though knowing that the chances were slim…So together, these two idiots must slowly go through and help each other find themselves again. As they eventually begin to grow closer and build something they thought they never needed before!

‘Knew you’d care,’ she jokes to herself. She doesn’t find it funny, though. Instead, it just fills her with grief.”

Right as Pomni nearly abstracts, everyone is rescued, pulled from the game and recovered from an old, dilapidated warehouse. After fifteen years, the circus is no more.
It’s funny, Jax thinks, the timing of it all. Two weeks prior, he had told Pomni he wouldn’t care if she abstracted; that’d he’d forget about her and move on. Now, he finds himself repetitively plagued by the image of her writhing on the floor, nearly consumed by black matter.
They’re human again; carbon-based and sickeningly real in a world that kept turning without them. He can only thank God that, despite it all, Pomni chooses to navigate it with him.
