Summary
Rumours in Li speak of a deranged noblewoman of the clan of eccentrics, one who scares men away by her character and women by her skill in poison. Maomao disagrees with this assessment: she thinks she's pretty normal, if only slightly more skilled than average. It's not her fault, after all, that her father disregarded every convention to keep her out of the Imperial Harem by naming her the heir of the La clan. When her fate entertwines with that of a mysteriously beautiful eunuch, what conventions are left to respect?

Summary
Kan Maoling, the Princess of the La Clan, disappeared on a soft, summer morning.
That same summer, Maomao the Apothecary entered the Rear Palace.
This was not an accident, nor did it alarm the La Clan.
If she was to become consort to the Moon Prince on her next birthday, what type of parents would they be if they did not allow her to acquaint herself with her future home?

Summary
Yuuji first meets him at his parent's funeral.
He's not crying, hadn't all day. He thinks he might've used all his tears up the day he found out what had happened. The cloying scent of incense is making his head hurt.
In the meager crowd of black suits and dresses, there's a splotch of pink.
A heavy hand pats Yuuji's back, gently but firmly guiding him forwards. Towards the stranger. "Yuuji, this is your uncle, Sukuna." His grandfather introduces them gruffly.
The man mostly ignores Wasuke, looking down at him with a bored expression."How's it hanging, brat?" It's a strange thing to ask, considering his parents just died.
2011 to 2019, disjointed snapshots of Yuuji's childhood with Sukuna.

Summary
In the flourishing capital of the Li Dynasty, where peonies bloom beneath vermilion palace walls and every smile may conceal a scheme, two children are born beneath Heaven's favor
The first is Ka Zuigetsu, the Crown Prince, raised from birth as heir to the throne. Intelligent, beloved by all, he seems destined to become the perfect ruler
The second is La Mao, daughter of the empire's brilliant strategist, La Kan. Showered with affection and privilege, she grows up far from obscurity
The result is a young lady unlike any other
Beautiful, sharp-tongued, frighteningly intelligent, and utterly unafraid of authority, Maomao possesses all the qualities of a proper noblewoman—along with a dangerous fascination with poisons and a talent for turning schemes against their creators
Many whisper that La family's precious princess is destined to become a villainess
Others simply hope they never catch her attention
When the scheming Moon Prince and the catlike Poisoned Peony find their fates intertwined, neither realizes that their encounter will result on unchangable tight-knot.
