Hermione moves to New York after the war, and when SHIELD recruits her, she isn’t exactly surprised. Granted, she has never heard of the organization, but it is high time somebody noticed how awesome she is. Hermione wouldn’t say that she’s a snob about her awesomeness, but she’s spent her entire schooling in Harry’s shadow (not that it’s his fault). It’s time for her to shine. Then shit starts happening in Afghanistan and then in Malibu, and now Hermione has Pepper Potts on her mind, in a way that she's never thought about anybody before.

Summary
Pins and needles in my hands and feet have turned into full-on numbness in some areas. My legs ache. I am weak and tired. My gums have finally started bleeding. My arms display a colorful wave of bruises where blood has been taken. I have only a few days of coma slurry left. And. There are gaps in my memory. I’m not sure if it’s good or bad that I am able to sometimes remember this.
I can also recognize the fact that I have become more withdrawn and irritable, but it’s as if I can’t physically stop myself from acting on those emotions instead of dealing with them in a rational manner.
I sit in the corner of my habitat, knees drawn up and face pressed against the xenonite, away from the commotion. They’re letting me be for now, but I can tell every Eridian is focused on me regardless as they pack up Armando and other medical detritus.
“Want Rocky here,” I mutter stubbornly against the translucent surface. They know this. I know they know this. I don’t understand why they’re keeping me from him. There’s a physical agony in my chest. I miss him so much.

Summary
Harry was just about to escape Malfoy Manor when he was struck by an unknown curse, sending him falling headfirst into a world where there is no war, no Voldemort and his parents are alive. Stuck there, he finds himself able to experience a life he could have never imagined.
Although this world is everything he ever could have dreamed for, he finds that it’s harder to shake off the clutches of war than he would have thought, especially when he’s surrounded by ghosts.
