The artist did his absolute best not to stare because it would be extremely unprofessional of him and it would probably make the model feel uncomfortable, so he just cleared his throat and looked away immediately, checking if all the pencils he needed were there, although he already knew they were.”

In Yibo’s words, his former teacher is still brilliant, still maddening, still the only one capable of inspiring Yibo to author a six-thousand-word peer-reviewed paper on the symptomatic divergence of carefully constructed emotional equilibrium.
Once upon a time, meteor showers burst every time they argued. Now, as colleagues, they are still at loggerheads, & the entire campus is watching, whispering, waiting for the inevitable.

Xiao Zhan is the most popular boy in school; he's student council president, has perfect grades, is in choir and the arts club.
When Wang Yibo transfers to his school a grade below him, his popularity is swift to rival his own - though he is excelling in the sports department instead.
