So how… how were they alive?
The air around him felt charged again, that same faint warmth flickering beneath the weight of the snowstorm. It brushed past his skin like a memory, like sunlight breaking through clouds.
Giyuu shook himself from the trance and stripped the patterned haori from his shoulders, wrapping it around the child with careful hands. The fabric looked comically large around the boy, the blue-and-green waves swallowing him whole, but at least it would hold warmth. He could feel the faint rhythm of life beneath his palms—fragile, but steadying.
He gathered Rokuta into his arms, pressing him close to his chest as he stood. The boy’s head lolled against his shoulder, a small sigh escaping him. Giyuu didn’t waste a second. He trudged through the snow toward the ruined house, boots crunching through the thick silence.
“Kamado!” he called, his voice cutting through the wind.
Tanjiro looked up from where he knelt, still clutching Takeo’s limp form, eyes red-rimmed and unfocused.
“Check the other children!” Giyuu barked. -

With a mental ‘fuck it’, Jason begins to chant.

Summary
It was supposed to be an "in and out" night without getting caught by Batman or the others, but Jason's night very quickly takes a turn after he found Damian in the cave dressing his own wounds. That he gave himself. As Jason dressing Damian's wounds, he keeps getting these odd memories of a young boy from the league, who was also covered in blood and emotionless.
Taking care of Damian feels a lot more familiar than it should.
