Lestat had many times imagined what their reunion would be like, back when he had been living in solitude. In his fantasy, there had been kissing. Lots and lots of passionate kissing and fumbling, hurried hands tearing each other's clothes open to feel the touch of each other's skin as starved entities after many years of longing. They'd profess their love for each other and offer their blood. All very sexy.
All a fantasy.
But real life was nothing like a fantasy. They were back in each other's life, sharing the same space. It wasn't awkward. It wasn't passionate, either.

No one had left this time. There had been an air of stubbornness between them, relentlessly planting them on the spot because they both knew that if this was going to work, they both needed to be willing to put the work into it. It meant setting necessary boundaries. More communication, knowing what to prioritize. Actually getting to know each other and allowing each other to see their flaws. Once the pressure had been off their shoulders, they talked about their feelings. Their wants and needs and expectations. Tommy wanted to feel wanted and Buck wanted someone to stay.

"So do they find it weird?" Tommy asks casually. Buck licks the remaining drops of coffee off of his bottom lip.
"Find what weird?"
"That their son's ex boyfriend is living with him," Tommy hums and reaches over to brush a crumb of toast off of Evan's face. It's such a casual move that he's probably not thinking about it while Buck's heart is more than well aware of the fact.
"Oh, uh… So about that…"
"Evan."
"Hm?"
"Evan."

He had paused by the door first. Contemplated on whether he should open it or not. It hadn't been that long ago since Maddie had left, and he knew the rest of his team was on shift. The knock came again. Less insistent this time, as if the person on the other side had felt Buck's anxiousness, and it helped. Still on edge, Buck had inhaled slowly, and exhaled in the same pace before opening the door slightly ajar. Just in case.
Tommy had been the very last person he had expected to see upon opening the door.

“Shoot me,” Stolas said. In the past a blessed weapon would be needed, but in the state he was in now…this should do it. Did he want to die? No, he didn’t think he did. But it was difficult to gather the strength to want to live. He’d been trying to keep it together for Blitzø’s sake. He’d been trying so hard. But if Blitzø didn’t want him around anymore, then there was simply no one left to try for.
Blitzø looked at him in confusion. Then he shrugged, lifting his gun to aim at Stolas’ head. “I mean if that’s what ya want –”
OR
Shortly after Sinsmas, a version of Blitzø from the past shows up, having swapped places with present Blitzø, the one who actually liked Stolas. Stolas convinces this past Blitzø that he's his court-ordered secretary and nothing more, at least until he can find a way to undo what's been done.

His leaden eyelids drooped alongside the creaking casket lid when his ringer shrilled. He had every intention to ignore it until "Lui calling" stole his glance, causing him to nearly tumble forward in his hasty reach. He summoned his pride in time and waited until the appropriate fourth ring to pick up with a lackadaisical, "Why, hello."
"How's Montreal?" Louis' voice crooned like warm vanilla.

Recently fell into IWTV and loved The Vampire Lestat too, including of course the deeper emotional intimacy with Louis & Lestat.I continue my series of "extended" / "deleted" Loustat scenes, this time through season 3 and an imagined season 4 premiere.
