Simon is fighting every instinct in his body to not drop to his knees and bow his head for his omega because he knows Grace would hate that. He doesn’t say anything, gripping the door frame so hard he’s afraid it might crack as he waits for Ryland to speak first.

Summary
Two bodies floating towards the stars, classroom filled with winter coats and radio signals going quiet. Uncertainty is a value measured by scientist, a common routine. Grace is tired of being a coward, so he straps himself to the Hail Mary to sail the stars one last time.
Then comes knocking the unknown unknowns, throwing Grace into a vacuum devoid of stars and planets, humanity eating itself and an ocean of blood. Typical Tuesday.
