Juhoon hesitated, rubbing the back of his neck as he avoided Martin’s eyes. “Hey, uh... do you ever think we’re, like...” He grimaced, already regretting this. “I mean, not actually gay, obviously. Just... do you think we look gay? With the whole... us thing?”
Martin glanced down at his feet, then back at Juhoon as though the answer were obvious. “Dude, we’re wearing socks,” he pointed out, lifting one foot to make his point. “That means we’re good. Socks are, like, the universal gayness blocker.”
Or: Juhoon receives a dick pic by accident, one that should change absolutely nothing about the friendship he and Martin have. Unfortunately, it changes everything.

“That toothbrush. It’s mine, put it down—”
Martin holds it up, turning it in the light. “This grey thing?” He raises one eyebrow. “Kind of boring, no offense.”
“I don’t fucking care if it’s boring, it’s mine and it’s not going in your mouth—” Seonghyeon’s voice cracks somewhere in the middle of that sentence. Quite the predicament: torn between fury and the urgent need to keep the curtain fully closed around himself, soap threatening to drip into his eyes.
Martin grins, the corners of his mouth quirking up, and, maintaining eye contact, pops the toothbrush directly into his mouth.
“Oh my god.” Seonghyeon’s face switches between several stages of horror. “Oh my god, you did not—that is so disgusting, I use that on my teeth, Martin—”
“Mm,” Martin hums around it, already working it back and forth.

Summary
After Seonghyeon's mother passes away, he's sent to live with the father who'd barely been part of his life, forcing him to leave behind the only home he's ever known for Seoul, the city everyone seems to love.
He misses the quiet comfort of his small town, where everyone knew each other and nothing ever felt too far away. Seoul is different. It's loud, crowded, and so impossibly big that no one could ever know everyone.
Moving in the middle of summer leaves him with no friends, nowhere to go, and nothing to do but exist alongside a father who's only just begun trying to fill a role he abandoned long ago.
